Model A update...

With the shop opened back up, I am trying to make some headway on the Model A truck before the next customer's project comes in.  The main thing I want to accomplish is to get the top chopped and it all welded back together.

Model A's are relativity easy to chop.  Just pick the straightest and flattest section and start cutting...

after about a 1/2 hour of cutting...

...tacked all back together.

It certainly pays to take your time and make sure the cuts are parallel and fit together nicely.

The doors had some patch panels tacked in by the previous owner.  Where I decide to cut was at the end of the patch so that I had one less edge to weld.

Still a lot of welding left but at least it looks like something.

The rear panel was in pretty poor shape.  The best thing to do was cut it all out....

...and make a new panel.

Definitely need to take your time.  The original metal can warp so easily.
